Valencia Days

We grew up together starting in kindergarten at Valencia Elementary School, and he was honestly my very first crush! He was just the cutest little blonde boy in our class that had a way of making everyone laugh. I still remember telling my mom, “I really like David Filipiak!” and what were we, maybe 6 years old? Ha!

I remember play dates at my house where we would just run around our playroom being silly. From recess time, to class performances and spirit days to all the fun memories with our amazing Valencia crew, he truly had a way of making everyone around him see the joy in life and appreciate the simple, happy moments.

David and I dated briefly while we both lived in Southern CA. I went on to move back home to Northern CA and become a teacher and he became a model with that infectious smile. He was always the nicest guy. A friend to everyone he met. I am so sorry and sad to hear of his passing. Sending so much love to all of his friends and family.
